Valentine’s Treats & Party Decorations for Less

If you follow me on IG and Facebook, you got to see all of the fun we had during our Galentine’s Weekend Getaway. If you missed it, I’ve added a highlight on IG and you can look for a blog post all about it coming up!

If you are planning a Galentine’s or Valetine’s party, I’m here to share that you don’t have to break the bank looking for #allthingsvalentines decorations. You may need to stop at several stores, but it will be worth it!

Last week, Kusum @sveeteskapes and I hit Target, Dollar Tree, Diaso. I had stopped at Walmart and Marshall’s earlier in the week.

The biggest hit was Dollar Tree! Wow! We were able to pick up some really cute things. They are definitely the place to go, but don’t delay too long as they already had an aisle of St. Patrick’s day stuff up!

Quick & Easy Valentine Treats

Fast and tasty, I made these treats in an hour the night before!
Prep Time 10 minutes
Dry Time 30 minutes
Servings 6

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg Wilton Melting Chocolates Vanilla & Strawberry
  • 1 pkg Ghiradelli Melting Chocolates Dark Chocolate
  • 1-3 pkg Valentine Themed Sprinkles
  • 1 pkg Wafer Cookies Chocolate & Vanilla
  • 1 pkg Large Stick Pretzels

Instructions

  • Lay out wax paper on counter ahead of time. Open all your packages and select all the cookies and pretzels per flavored chocolate you want to use.
  • Melt chocolates per package instructions. Use a small deep bowl if possible for easier dipping. MELT & DECORATE ONE FLAVOR AT A TIME!
  • Dip pretzels in melted chocolate, using a spoon to add additional chocolate as needed. Shake off excess. Sprinkle your decorations onto pretzel over the sink or a seperate bowl to catch the excess. Place on wax paper to dry. Repeat for all your pretzels.
  • Dip the ends of your wafer cookies. using a spoon to add additional chocolate as needed. Shake off excess. Place on wax paper and immediately sprinkle or place your decorations on the cookies. Repeat for all your wafer cookies. Please note, you will get wafer bits in the chocolate, so I dipped the colors I would see the least, first.
  • Re-melt or add additional chocolate as needed.
  • Repeat for all remaining flavors.
  • Once all your treats are dry, store in an airtight container.

Now for the decorations! Each photo includes a link to where I purchased the items. They really were so fun to find! Many can be stored or use again for years to come!
